Traffic Alert & Construction Update: SE Main|20 St|21 St Underpass Project
School starts next week, please be extra cautious commuting in the construction area.

Travel impacts as of August 30, 2018:
2 Av S will be used only as an entrance to the High School as of Tuesday morning, September 4
21 St northbound right lane closure from railroad tracks at SE Main Av Intersection to 4 Av S
Watermain relocation underway on the east side of 21 St, north of the railroad tracks
22 St S remains closed
4 Av S from 21 St to 22 St S remains closed
Underground utility work underway
Construction Progress:
Recent rain showers have slowed progress this week. Installation of forcemain continues along 22 St. The temporary signal installation continues along 1 Av for a future detour. Temporary water has been setup along 21 St for future watermain work. Excavation operations south of Casey’s near the railroad tracks is now underway.
Looking ahead:
Pump station forcemain installation will continue along 22 St. Storm sewer installation south of 4 Av and along 22 St will begin followed by grading operations. Temporary signal work will continue along 1 Av for future detour. Watermain work will resume as connections are made. The week of September 17, the north lanes of 21 St and east lanes of SE Main will be closed at the intersection of SE Main/20 St/21 St. The detour will utilize 1 Av S.
