Minnesota Renters Encouraged to File for Property Tax Refunds

Many renters qualify - file between now and August 15

See if you qualify! The State of Minnesota, through the Department of Revenue, provides a Property Tax Refund program in which renter households earning less than $59,960 receive a property tax refund based in part on household income and the amount of rent paid. 

To apply, you'll need your completed 2017 income tax return and a "Certificate of Rent Paid from your landlord. Applications are due by August 15 of each year.  Questions should be directed to Minnesota Department of Revenue at 800.652.9094.
