Moorhead Police Arrest 3 Males for Robbery

Moorhead Police responded to a reported shooting behind the Azool Shopping Mall located in South Moorhead on Tuesday, July 25, at approximately 5:45 p.m.  Police learned that acquaintances to each other had prearranged a meeting at this location to conduct a drug transaction.  As a result of the on-going investigation, with assistance from the Metro Street Crimes Unit and Fargo Police Department, three males are currently in custody for their involvement in this incident.  No additional arrests are anticipated.

Raekwon Joseph Thomas (18 years old from Moorhead), D'Angelo Mandrell Brooks (20 years old from Fargo), and a 17 year old juvenile male also from Fargo are being held on Felony 1st Degree Robbery and 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon charges.  Additional appropriate charges will also be considered through a long form complaint requested through the Clay County Attorney's Office.

Raekwon Thomas was taken into custody without incident during the early morning hours and is being held in the Clay County jail.  D'Angelo Brooks was taken into custody this afternoon in Fargo without incident and is being held in the Cass County Jail.  The 17 year old juvenile male was arrested without incident this afternoon in Moorhead and is being held in the Clay County Detention Center. 

The shotgun that was discharged twice has been recovered.
