Oakport Electric Service - May 1 Informational Meeting

Details on transfer of electric service from Xcel Energy to Moorhead Public Service

Xcel Energy and Moorhead Public Service (MPS) will hold an informational meeting for current Xcel customers in the Oakport neighborhood (Tract 2 annexation area) regarding the transfer of electric service from Xcel to MPS.  The transfer will occur throughout the summer and is expected to be complete late summer 2017.  Xcel and MPS will provide information on how the transfer will occur and how it may affect your electric service.  MPS will also provide information on rates, load management programs, energy savings programs, rebates, and related items.

Please note that this service transfer affects only Xcel Energy electric service customers in the Oakport neighborhood. The Red River Valley Cooperative Power Association electric transfer to MPS has already been completed.
