On Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 5:30 a.m., Moorhead Police responded to 824 2 Avenue South for a disturbance involving a shotgun being discharged into a wall. As a result of the investigation, it was learned that this incident was a robbery involving narcotics. On Thursday, September 29, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Moorhead Police conducted a traffic stop in south Moorhead on the vehicle Chantel Lynn McGuire (23 years old from Tower city, ND) was driving. She was taken into custody for her involvement in this incident. She was transported to the Clay County Jail on charges of 2nd Degree Assault, Aggravated 1st Degree Robbery, and 1st Degree Aiding and Abetting Aggravated Robbery. Also identified as a suspect in this incident was Christopher Allen Martell (22 years old from Fargo). Christopher Martell was taken into custody on October 1, 2016, by the Glendive Montana Police Department and is being held on the same felony charges pending extraditions. The shotgun used in this incident has been recovered.
On Tuesday, September 27, 2016, Moorhead Police responded to a reported burglary in progress in the 2100 block of 17 Street South. The homeowner had entered their residence over the noon hour and encountered a male burglarizing the house. The homeowner chased the male as the suspect ran from the residence. The suspect threatened the homeowner by pointing a handgun at him prior to getting into a vehicle driven by another person. The suspect, Robert Earl Lucas (26 years old from Moorhead) was later arrested by Moorhead Police and transported to the Clay County Jail for felony Burglary and Robbery charges. The accomplice, driving the vehicle, was identified as Brandon Jeffrey Jacobson (19 years old from Fargo). Brandon Jacobson was arrested Friday, September 30, in north Fargo without incident. He is being held in the Cass County Jail pending extradition for Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Aiding and Abetting Burglary charges.
