Five Facing Charges After a Robbery in Moorhead

2 Adults and 3 Juveniles

On September 27, 2016, at approximately 2239 hours, officers were sent to 1107 19 St S, Moorhead, for a fight in progress.  As they were arriving in the area, they learned the suspects were leaving.  A seventeen year old male from Moorhead was found with injures to his face.  He was transported by FM Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.  Officers were able to develop possible suspect information and located the suspects at an apartment near by.

Several suspects were detained and interviewed.  Based on the evidence and statements, two adults and three juveniles will be facing a variety of charges:

  • 2nd Degree Assault
  • 5th Degree Assault
  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Robbery
  • Possession of Stolen Property
  • Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana

One adult male is currently being held at the Clay County Jail, Deandre Jaylen Lacroix (20) from Moorhead.

Charges are also being requested for the second adult female, Mercedez Johanna Liljequist (20) from Glyndon.  She was interviewed and released from the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing and additional information may be released at a later date.  This was not a random robbery as the victim and suspects knew each other.
