Participating in Night to Unite is simple - neighborhood residents are asked to turn on outside lights, lock their doors and spend the evening outside with fellow neighbors and public safety personnel. Many neighborhoods plan block events such as ice cream socials, BBQs, lawn games, and similar fun events to bring neighbors together. Neighbors are encouraged to use the evening to discuss issues important to their communities, creating a plan to protect common areas, or coordinating a neighborhood watch program.
